To say that I’m proud is the biggest understatement ever.
The schedule today said 8 miles. I ran the 8. Ira Glass was still entertaining me. The snow was falling but not sticking. So I kept going.
10 miles.

My pace was really steady, starting at 12:13 a mile and increasing a little each mile and ending at 12:19 for the last mile. I didn’t realize how tired I was until Jake (the iPod) told me I’d hit 10, and then I thought I was going to fall over.
Then I stretched in the floor for a while. Getting up off the floor was probably the hardest thing I’ve had to do in a while.
And, dude, my legs? JELLO. Even 4 hours later.
I’m gonna rock this half next month…just you wait!

Once you’ve hit your milage, do you stop right away? I find walking another 5-10 minutes helps loosen the legs up a bit. You are doing great!!
Yeah, I walk for a while, but today walking was more uncomfortable than the running was!
